Topps, a renowned collectible company, has announced that they will be honoring former NFL player Tom Brady in one of their upcoming baseball card series this year. The announcement was made during a recent press conference. The series will feature autographed versions of Brady’s card, which usually have a higher resale value than unsigned ones.
Baseball cards have become an integral part of sports memorabilia, with rarer cards commanding a higher value. To maintain their value, these cards must be kept in pristine condition.
Interestingly, Brady was a 1995 Montreal Expos draft pick. However, he was encouraged to pursue football over baseball by his peers, such as F.P. Santangelo, who believed that playing football would provide him with more opportunities to perform in front of larger crowds.
Brady’s New England Patriots rookie card from the 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Ticket set, autographed and in mint condition, sold for a whopping $2.4 million at a recent auction conducted by PWCC. Only 100 of these cards exist, making it an extremely sought-after item. Other valuable Tom Brady cards include the:
