Lab 20 Sports Cards – Community Support Guidelines

At Lab 20 Sports Cards, we’re proud to support the communities and collectors who support us. Because we receive far more sponsorship and donation requests than we can fulfill, we’ve moved to a structured review process so we can be fair, consistent, and transparent.

All completed requests are now reviewed every 30 days. Please review the guidelines below before submitting your application.


Who We Consider for Sponsorships & Donations

While we review each request individually, priority is typically given to:

  • Youth sports teams, leagues, and tournaments
  • Schools and educational programs
  • Community events that promote family, wellness, or local engagement
  • Nonprofit organizations and fundraisers in our regional area

To help us be good stewards of our resources, we generally do not support:

  • Requests that fall outside our local/regional community
  • Individuals raising funds for personal benefit
  • Political, religious, or highly partisan activities
  • Requests submitted with incomplete information

(You’re welcome to submit even if you’re unsure whether you qualify, but these criteria help us focus our support.)


Before You Apply

To give your request the best chance of being reviewed and considered, please make sure:

  1. Timing:
    • Submit your request at least 30 days before your event or sponsorship need.
  2. Location:
    • Your organization, team, or event should primarily serve our local or regional community.
  3. Purpose:
    • Funds or in-kind donations should support charitable, community, or youth-focused purposes (for example: fundraising raffles, silent auctions, team sponsorships, youth programs, etc.).
  4. One Request at a Time:
    • Please submit no more than one request per organization in a 12-month period.

What to Include in Your Application

When you submit your request, please be prepared to provide:

  1. Organization Information
    • Organization name
    • Type of organization (e.g., 501(c)(3) nonprofit, school, youth league, community group)
    • Website and social media links (if applicable)
    • Primary contact name, email, and phone number
  2. Event or Program Details
    • Event or program name
    • Date(s), time, and location
    • Brief description of the event or initiative and its purpose
    • Estimated number of attendees or participants
    • How the event benefits the community or youth
  3. Your Request
    • Type of support requested (e.g., product donation, gift cards, sponsorship dollars, prize items, etc.)
    • Desired amount or value range
    • Date by which the support is needed
  4. Recognition & Visibility
    • How Lab 20 Sports Cards will be recognized (e.g., logo on flyers, social media mentions, banners, announcements, jerseys, etc.)
    • Any promotional opportunities tied to the sponsorship
  5. Supporting Documents (Optional but Helpful)
    • Sponsorship deck, flyer, or one-page overview
    • Proof of nonprofit status (if applicable)
    • Past event photos or recap (if this is a recurring event)

Providing clear, complete information up front reflects widely recommended best practices and helps our team evaluate your request efficiently.


How to Submit Your Request

Please submit all sponsorship and donation requests via email to cards@lab20cards.com (no phone, social media, or in-store requests, please).

  1. Submit your Email
    • cards@lab20cards.com
    • Fill out all information mentioned above and attach any relevant documents (sponsorship deck, flyer, proof of nonprofit status, etc.).
  2. Double-Check Your Details
    • Confirm that your contact info is correct.
    • Make sure dates, amounts, and recognition opportunities are clear.
  3. Submit at Least 30 Days in Advance
    • Requests submitted with shorter notice may not be reviewed in time.

Our Review & Response Timeline

To manage the volume of requests we receive, we follow this review process:

  • Monthly Review Cycle:
    All completed applications are reviewed every 30 days by our internal team.
  • Selection & Capacity:
    Even if an organization aligns with our values, we may not be able to approve every request due to budget and inventory limitations.
  • Notification:
    • If your request is approved, we will contact you using the email provided in your application with next steps.
    • If we are unable to participate at this time, we may not be able to respond to each request individually.
  • Reapplying:
    • If your request is not selected or you do not hear back within 45 days, you’re welcome to apply again for a future event (subject to the one-request-per-year guideline above).
